Job Description

The key function of this role is to provide information, advice and booking services directly to our on-line and telephonic based clients.  This is done by delivering above average service, creating long term relationships with both clients and suppliers, ultimately resulting in the best possible packages being offered to clients, resulting in the expansion of the Leisure desk.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Ascertain clients’ needs and advise suitable packages and services
  • Prepare and process quotes within the prescribed time frame
  • Follow up on all quotes
  • Build long term professional relationships with clients resulting in repeat business
  • Book all flights, accommodation and car hire services (domestic, regional and international)
  • Advise clients regarding all travel requirements, such as visa’s; passports; health requirements; travel insurance etc
  • Process entire booking for client, including special meal requirements
  • Create a history file for client
  • Following payment process
  • Issuing of all necessary documentation
  • Creating itinerary for client
  • Assist with any changes client may have
  • Assist other consultants when needed
  • Ensure that you are kept up to date in terms of product knowledge
  • General admin related to position, including post travel follow up calls to client

Required Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Relevant travel qualification
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience as a leisure consultant
  • Some corporate experience will be an advantage
  • Any supervisory experience will be advantageous
  • Galileo certification
  • Knowledge of international fares and routings
  • Excellent Geography, destination knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • Ability to cope well under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet sales targets
  • Very good customer services skills
  • Shift work – Office runs from 08h00 – 18h00, Monday to Friday & 08h00 – 14h00 every alternate Saturday.
  • Working hours will be on a shift rotation from 08h00 – 17h00 & 09h00 – 18h00.  Alternative Saturdays.
