Job Description

Responsible for promoting Carlson Wagonlit Travel South Africa, its products and acquiring profitable new business.

  • Continuous growth of company through new business targets.
  • Support role during implementation and tenders
  • Ensure customer focused service and solid relationships
  • Ensure sales target is met/exceeded
  • Must work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Customer service orientated person (motivated to meet and exceed client expectations)
  • Must have the ability and maturity to establish and maintain professional customer relationships at all levels
  • Initiative to solve problems and generate ideas for    improvement (set service standards)
  • Integrity to maintain confidentiality
  • Have a strong work ethic

4 weeks notice period

Salary

Market Related plus Commission

Required Qualifications

Previous new business development / travel sales experience in the corporate sales environment is necessary (preferably 3 - 5 years experience)

  • Knows and understands software packages required to perform own job function (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Email)

  • Basic business principles

  • Competitor activity

  • Sound understanding of supplier product offering

  • High level understanding of implementation process and procedures

  • Travel products and services – in depth understanding required

  • Customer Care principles

  • Customer needs

  • Basic financial principles

  • Effective presentation skills, including formal business

  • Presentations as well as the presentation and compilation of tender (RFP / RFI) response documents.
