Job Description

To support clients dealing through the Global Centre in South Africa. The clients are multi-lingual, online and offline and require assistance with domestic, regional and international travel bookings. Bookings originate from a number of markets around the world and can be telephonic and via email.

• Provide excellent travel advice, guidance and support. Critical for the consultant to understand companies with a global approach and structure
• Provide service in the client’s preferred language ( English will be the second language in a number of the markets serviced)
• Work in multiple systems and GDS’s in different markets
• In – depth understanding of the currencies and financial processes in place for each client. (Clients are from different Clients are from different markets, work in different currencies and with different forms of payment)
• An exceptionally pro-active and solutions driven approach is required

• Receive travel requests from corporate clients based in a variety of markets, including but not limited to: Ghana, Angola, Nigeria, China, Kenya, USA, Europe etc.
• Obtain the best possible options on rates from suppliers for car hire, hotel, rail and airline for every client
• Receive and resolve travel queries from clients, e.g. provide assistance to the client in the event that they are stranded, missed the flight, etc. Fast and efficient query resolution is vital.
• Arrange bookings as per the approved quote from the client. Ticketing and processing through other markets may be a requirement.
• Strict adherence to the customer's travel policy and contractual supplier agreements.
• Adherence to global SLA’s with very specific measurements are fundamental.
• Ensure that service delivery is consistent across the different teams in the Global Contact Centre – clients should experience seamless service delivery
• Apply for visa documentation and travel insurance on behalf of the client
• Order foreign exchange as per the clients requirements and ensure delivery to clients
• Issue the travel documents, i.e. car hire, hotel and airline vouchers to the client via email
• Responsible for accuracy and completeness of fees charged
• Responsible for accuracy and efficiency in all areas of consulting thus eliminating unnecessary financial loss
• Read and research information in order to remain abreast with changes within the market

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Travel & Tourism / equivalent NQF Level 5
• 7 years relevant experience
Ability to speak any of the following languages: French, Portuguese, Chinese, German, Spanish, English
Galileo and Amadeus qualifications
• Willingness to travel and work in other markets
• A proven track record of excellent service delivery to global clients is non-negotiable
