Job Description

Communications & Bid Writing

  • Formulation of business communications strategies, in consultation with executive team

  • Ensuring effective and professional business communications to all audiences - employees, management, customers, shareholders, suppliers, media and general public. 

  • Ensuring best practice use of communication resources and technologies to facilitate professional messaging to all audiences.

  • Analysis of effectiveness of communication through surveys, feedback sessions, external research 

  • Manage and respond to all sponsorship requests from external public and staff

  • Formulate and project manage the bid plan and process

  • Proof-reading, editing and document production to produce high quality communication

  • Ability to create content for targeted audiences

  • Ability to deliver according to approved timeline and client brief

Marketing

  • Formulation of external marketing and advertising strategy

  • Conceptualising and implementing launch of the brand

  • Manage external resources e.g.  creative agencies, to ensure appropriate branding

  • Supplier Marketing Fund – plan, implement and manage supplier funds

  • Formulate marketing plan in consultation with supplier

Event management/co-ordination

  • Manage & co-ordinate all events related to the brand

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification e.g. B Degree in Communications or Marketing

  • Minimum 5 years related experience

  • This should include subjects relating specifically to communication in business since a significant part of the portfolio requires above average command of the written word (English)

  • Business communication – writing and creating communication material for business

  • Marketing – conceptualising and implementing brand strategies

     

IMPORTANT SKILLS

  • Excellent Communication skills – verbal & written

  • Creative, persuasive, compelling, concise writing

  • High level of organisation and planning skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure

Project management experience.
