Job Description

KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

•Engage, uncover, interpret and deliver consultative service that exceeds

the needs of the leisure traveller as well as his/ her significant others

travelling together

•Continually enhance your knowledge to ensure quality options and information

is provided and that you stay abreast of all industry products, offers and

value adds

•Stay abreast of the evolving content in Renniestravel.com and follow best

practice procedures

•Embrace the opportunity to cross and upsell to all direct clients booking on

the site

•Ensure that the relationship with the traveller is maintained so as to generate

repeat business

•Ensure that you maintain a sustainable revenue ratio  for all transactions

•Accept accountability for the travel experience provided to the client

•Ensure that all travel bookings are facilitated timeously, professionally and

In line with customer expectations

•Service provision according to the RT service non-negotiables

•Excellent communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English

•Good organizational ability.

• Diploma in Travel and Tourism or relevant equivalent courses or experience

•3 – 4 years relevant experience selling international travel

•Galileo and Sabre proficient

Rennies Travel would like to appoint a Senior Concierge Consultant in the Renniestravel.com team.

 

A concierge consultant - “is your personal travel guru who provides suggestions for customized and detailed travel activities during the planning and booking process. Offering additional services that a traveller may not necessarily request but that enhances the experience.”

POISITION: Senior Concierge Consultant

 

REPORTING TO: Travel Manager

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: A Senior Concierge Consultant is someone consistent and persistent when it comes to service delivery.   A passionate dream maker who is technology- savvy and able to identify opportunities within the RT.com environment.  They will be responsible for assisting clients with web enquiries, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to sell additional products and services to existing bookings, making changes to bookings on behalf of both clients and corporate consultants and engaging in online chats with clients. 

The successful candidate will have an enquiring mind, be immensely passionate about closing each sale, be a logical, proactive problem solver, be adaptable, creative and inspirational, show perseverance and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure as well as maintain high energy levels.

 

One of your main responsibilities as a concierge travel consultant is to give well-informed, professional and

appropriate advice to customers, whilst encouraging them to use the RT.com website as their primary way of

researching and booking travel.
