We are a Boutique Travel Agency in Paarl. We currently offer an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate to Senior Travel Consultant with experience. “We are extra mile service driven, and specialize in tailor-made holidays to unique international destinations”... We form part of "Live the Journey Group of Companies"

Requirements of the ideal candidate:
NON-NEGOTIABLE:
  • Must be willing to work from our head-office in Paarl. The suitable candidate must therefore have his/her own transport to reach our offices (Monday to Friday; 8:30 to 17:00pm) or organize transport him-/herself. (Office hours is negotiable to accommodate traffic).
  • The ideal candidate must score high on the following attributes:

  2. Paper-Trails/ Filing/ Admin/ Systems/ Organized
  3. Time Management
  4. Teachable/ Eager to Learn
  5. Taking Initiative/ Out of the box thinking/ problem solving

  7. Can work under lots of pressure
  • Excellent Afrikaans communication and excellent English writing/grammar skills
  • Very good computer skills (must be able to learn new programs)
  • Very good research internet skills
  • The ability to thrive in a constant changing entrepreneurial [non-corporate] environment.
  • Be able, considerate & willing to work in an open plan office
  • Passion for the travel/tourism industry and travelling…
  • Contactable Referrals. We value 'competence' ánd good 'character'. 
  • Since you will work in a Christian Value-Based environment, a candidate of Christian faith with no smoking habits are essential.
  • Also essential: Work experience in the travel/tourism [travel agent or tour operator] industry...
  • Minimum 5 years GDS experience (preferably Amadeus)
SALARY:
  • We do not offer commission-based incentives. (We are service driven; not sales driven). 
  • A fixed monthly salary will be considered (& negotiated) based on your experience.
  • A pension-fund benefit is applicable and on offer to the successful candidate after 3 months of probation.

  • GDS experience. (If you have, mention how many years in your application)
  • International travel experience and destination knowledge will be an advantage…
  • Formal travel/ tourism training is a bonus, but not a requirement.
