Team Leader Finance - Product Air (Permanent) Gauteng- Johannesburg -Finance

Job Description

As an integral member of the Product Brand Leadership team, the Team Leader will function at both a strategic and operational level. 

Operationally, the role will be responsible for the financial health, well-being, management and financial reporting of the Product Air Brands.  This includes the recruitment, development and retention of the best finance people. 

The role will be responsible for

  • Providing strategic and financial support to the FC relating to business decisions
  • Developing appropriate financial reporting to manage & pro-actively diagnose the Air Business
  • Providing strategic and financial support to the Air Warehouse department relating to contracting
  • Raise the level of financial acumen of front end consultants through training & ad hoc queries
  • Work closely with Ticket Centre to align training and SLAs
  • Perform month end procedures including Monthly reporting packs
  • Oversee the accounting functions of the Air Teams, including but not limited to Airmax, Ticket Centre, Air Experts, Air Warehouse, Air Finance
  • Implementation and maintenance of strong financial control within the operations
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and reforecasts for the business
  • Leadership of the Air Finance team & Reporting Role

Required Qualifications

  • Finance/ Business Degree Preferable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in travel or related industry preferable
  • Demonstrated strong ability in leading and developing a finance team essential
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business models/ processes essential
  • Advanced Excel Experience essential
