Job Description

Our client, currently one of the largest Adventure Tour Companies in Africa is seeking a Senior Direct Sales Consultant to join their dynamic and vibrant team in the Cape Town CBD office. 
 
Duties will include (but not limited) to:
  • Handling of walk in customers and all website enquiries
  • Ensure customers get accurate information
  • Follow up on provisional reservations
  • Confirmation of reservations and payments
  • Ensure guests receive all necessary required documentation
  • Daily liaison with Sales and Reservation Manager

Salary

Salary on offer: R15 000–R18 000 CTC (experience dependant) + Commission + Provident fund and occupational healthcare program for everyday Dr’s expenses.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • 3+ year’s sales experience in the Tourism industry in SA
  • Certificate / Diploma in Sales / Tourism a definite distinct advantage
  • Must have excellent product knowledge of Southern and East Africa
  • Experience with Tourplan Reservation System an advantage
  • Computer literate and proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent communications skills in English
  • Be attentive to details and highly professional
  • Self-motivated and target driven (sales are commission driven)
  • Ability to multi task
  • Use own initiative to advise clients on best travel deals and packages
  • Patience and empathy
  • Pro-active problem solver
