Job Description

Contract Employment for 3 months, with good potential to extend to permanent employment.

A professional travel consultant with experience in designing private and bespoke safari and travel programmes for North American and European Virtuoso agents and high net worth independent travelers to >both eastern and southern Africa, with an emphasis on unusual and creative travel options. Knowledge of active travel alternatives primarily relating to cycling and walking holidays advantageous although not essential, but ideally the right candidate will be adventurous by nature, have an extensive personal travel resume and be an active cycling / hiking / climbing enthusiast who enjoys the outdoors and wants to share that passion with people. A self-starter who can operate independently and does not need to work within the confines of a rigid structure.

Required Qualifications

Advanced computer literacy in excel and word essential, knowledge of the Travelogic reservation system advantageous.

Preferably based in Cape Town or the greater Cape Town metropole area, able to start immediately and has own transport. Offering a chance to get involved at the grass roots level of a rapidly growing boutique high end travel agency/tour operator, hours are flexible, work from home options negotiable, rates are negotiable and commission structure on sales applicable.
