Job Description

Due to our business expansion we are currently looking for an Operations and Reservations Manager to join our Cape Town based company.

The key objective of this position will be to convert as many enquires and/or quotes into profitable bookings. Communicate and liaise with new clients and winning them over. Oversee the department’s administration and operations and deal with staff matters. (80% of the time to be spent on reservations, client and product profiling with 20% on admin and general matters)

Key Performance Areas
1) To drive profitable sales through providing excellent customer service and working close with the team to reach monthly targets.
2) To manage and support the team in performing effectively and efficiently in all areas.
3) To understand the Southern Africa region and its product offering – know what to sell and when to sell.
4) Competent in the use of available resources and operational fulfilment that may be needed.
5) Ability to make business decisions and win over suppliers and clients alike.
6) Be driven and motivated to carry out the above requirements.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications required by the position:

• Minimum 10 years Travel Industry experience ( Inbound tour operator)
• Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Product Development Skills within Southern Africa.
• Negotiation and Analytical Skills at various levels
• Efficient Communication and written Skills
• Effective time management ability
