Job Description

The main objective of this role is to co-ordinate branch operations in accordance with company procedures and policies, ensuring profitability and delivering service excellence.  This is achieved through managing, developing and motivating the staff to reach the monthly branch targets thus ensuring a high performance team that positively promotes the Company brand and increases revenue.

 

Key Performance Areas:

1. Human Resource Management

Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures as well as all governing Acts including but not limited to:

  • Labour Relations Act
  • Skills Development Act
  • Equity Employment Act
  • Basic Conditions of Employment

Further Duties:

  • Recruit according to Company policy
  • Manage and motivate
  • Train and develop
  • Performance manage according to KPAs
  • Conflict Management
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Upskill team leaders

 

2. Financial Management

  • Thoroughly understand Club Corporate operations systems and their application within the business with a view to optimising profitability.
  • Meet department productivity and quality goals.
  • Manage costs and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the branch.
  • Read, interpret and act on information provided in the monthly Income Statement and MIS Trading Reports.
  • Ensure client fees are collected and recorded
  • Effectively manage error reports to identify financial risks and training requirements
  • Manage the branch budget

3. Customer Management

  • Ensure adherence to Club Travel’s service excellence ethos
  • Ensure high quality of service excellence measurable by client retention and via surveys
  • Ensure a positive image of Club Corporate is maintained at all times
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship and effective communication with all internal and external clients.

 4. Supplier Management

  • Liaise with and utilise support from suppliers, partners and Club divisions as required
  • Ensure all suppliers are treated fairly and with respect
  • Ensure suppliers are paid promptly through the accurate and timeous processing of invoices by consultants.

 

Remain flexible to the wider business needs of the company by rendering assistance for ad hoc projects and duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills and management experience of at least 8 years in a relevant industry
  • Travel consulting experience & Multiple GDS proficiency will be an advantage
  • Capability to delegate, motivate and develop team
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • PC literacy, especially MS Office packages and Excel, minimum intermediate level
  • Ability to inspire confidence and develop rapport with staff and clients
  • Well-developed problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal, reading and writing skills required
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to detail and be solutions orientated
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Work as part of a team towards a common goal. 
  • Flexibility and adaptive to change
  • Ability to excel under pressure
  • Discretion and awareness of confidentiality

  • Overall rating of 3 in the 360 degree Performance Appraisals with team, line manager, clients and or suppliers
  • Client retention
  • Staff retention
  • Branch Profitability
  • Travel Policy and Service Level Agreement of Client adhered to
