Ticketing Agent Opportunities in the Online Travel Industry

Our company, a fast-growing online travel and tourism business based in Westlake, is expanding. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and professional individual, who shows a passion for excellent customer service. The company is offering a permanent position, and the successful incumbent's primary role will be to offer support to guests, and internal booking support via various communication channels.

Remuneration on offer is a fixed-base amount, as well as an additional flexible commission that will be based on your own abilities and performance. If you are the kind of person who wants an opportunity to excel in the customer service environment, and also earn an extra commission as a result, then this is the job for you.

Working Hours and Public Holidays

  • Agents will be working in shifts from 08:00 to 17:00.
  • Agents will be required to work some weekends, depending on shift allocations. Usually, this won’t be more than 1 weekend per month, either a Saturday or Sunday. Agents will be compensated in time back for working on weekends.
  • Agents will be required to work some public holidays and will receive double their daily rate for these shifts.

Immediately/1 month

Salary

R15000 – R20000.

Required Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English as you will primarily be dealing with Afrikaans-speaking clients, so full Afrikaans fluency is required. English proficiency is also required.
  • +/- 2 - 5 years working on a GDS; Galileo or Amadeus.
  • 2 years minimum experience in ticketing. Must have a sound understanding and knowledge of fares and ticketing systems and procedures.
  • Must be in possession of a Galileo or Amadeus Certificate.

What will be expected from successful candidates:

  • To provide a high level of customer service.
  • Be able to converse with, and advise management on client feedback;
  • The ability to work independently, with strong organisational- and administrative skills, attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
  • An excellent understanding of airline terms and travel industry knowledge.
  • Must have strong computer skill (Windows 10, MS office etc.)
  • Carry out additional assigned tasks
