Job Description

Thompsons for Travel is looking for a Leisure Travel Adviser, who has experience in converting leads and closing sales.  Suitable candidate will work in an exciting sales driven environment, which rewards achievers.

Basic plus commission - market related

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years selling holiday packages in retail leisure travel
  • Travel or Tourism Certificate
  • Amadeus GDS and Quicktrav experience preferable
  • Working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office Applications – Outlook
  • Able to meet sales targets and perform under pressure
  • Proven sales record
  • Extensive global product and geographical travel knowledge
  • Practical working experience with Amadeus and fares and ticketing experience
  • Technically minded
  • High accuracy and concentration, focusing on detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Results orientated
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Must be a team player
