Job Description

You will be responsible for establishing and managing EasyTrip (www.easytrip.co.za). You will need to be self-sufficient, full of initiative and capable of developing strategies to hit or exceed sales targets in a business that will grow from start-up under your leadership. You'll typically need to:
  • promote and market the business (a workable Marketing Plan must be developed in conjunction with the current United Europe Marketing Team)
  • manage budgets and maintain statistical and financial records
  • sell travel products and tour packages
  • source products and destinations to meet consumer demands for bespoke travel and sustainable tourism
  • take part in familiarisation visits to new destinations, to gather information on issues and amenities of interest to consumers
  • liaise with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules, often a year in advance
  • deal with customer enquiries, suggestions and complaints and aim to meet their expectations
  • provide sales reports to head office
  • implement alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business
  • oversee the smooth, efficient running of the business, that will eventually entail additional staff and the management thereof.

Required Qualifications

THIS POSITION IS STRICTLY OPEN TO AGENTS WHO HAVE STRONG AMADEUS SKILLS AND AT LEAST 5 YEARS RETAIL MANAGEMENT
  • Management experience is preferred but the ability to show initiative and a hunger for success are more important.
  • Matric Certificate.
  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, must be confident in both verbal and written interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of travel and travel products, procedures and services.
  • Excellent computer/software skills.
  • Be part of the greater team and be ready to assist where required, irrespective of the area of the business.
  • South African citizenship required.
  • Occasional Travel.
  • Own car is necessary.
