Area Sales Manager (Permanent) Western Cape- Cape Town -Wholesale

Job Description

  • The purpose of this role is to generate sales for the company by visiting agents as per a pre-determined schedule and by networking amongst role players in the industry.
  • Driven to achieve targets, set challenging goals, show energy and enthusiasm, react fast to opportunities and meet deadlines;
  • Develop training and agency development plans to increase sales and awareness of the various Travel Corporation brands;
  • Develop and Implement a sales plan in support of annual business plan;
  • Strengthen relationships and achieve growth with key agencies through regular contact and informative updates;
  • Provide weekly trainings, client presentations, product information sessions and ongoing website and online system training;
  • Ensure that marketing collateral is utilized to its fullest potential;
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities;
  • Adhere to the Travel Corporation, values, goals and objectives;
  • Plan & attend consumer shows/events and participate where beneficial;
  • Ensure that all requested sales reports are accurate, detailed, and submitted within the desired timeframe via Salesforce;
  • Develop a call cycle;
  • Actively seek out and foster group business;
  • All filing relating to this role;
  • Attend in house staff training and departmental meetings;
  • Actively contribute to the creation of an integrated and focused sales team;
  • Any instructions required from time to time based on operational requirements of the company and falls within the vocational ability of the incumbent;
  • Adhere to company ethics standards;

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Sales is required; 
  • A minimum of 1 – 2 years’ sales experience in a similar role coupled with a customer service ethic;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the travel industry;
  • Preference will also be given to applicants who has experience with the Salesforce Programme;
  • The successful incumbent must have a valid Driver’s License
