Job Description

Rapidly growing travel agency seeks an intermediate to senior travel consultant to join a small, hands-on team. Minimum of 2-3 years experience in managing corporate and leisure bookings.
 
Required Qualifications
The applicant must be proficient in Galileo, Travelport, Travelsoft and MS Office packages and be able to handle all travel arrangements for corporate and leisure clients. Also vital to this position is fares know-how, ticketing and excellent communication skills.
 
Other essentials:
  • Must have extensive international booking experience with a sound knowledge of international, regional and domestic destinations (travel within Africa would be a bonus)
  • Must have a passion for customer service and travel
  • Applicants need to work well under pressure, have great communication skills and be able to multitask. Accuracy, attention to detail and a sense of urgency is vital.
  • Be able to meet deadlines and deal with high volume enquiries
  • Must be able to be on call after hours/weekends to attend to travel emergencies as needed
  • Must be willing to go the extra mile
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Must have own set of clients (if possible)
  • Must have travelled internationally
  • Must be able to "think outside the box" when selling travel to potential travellers
  • Must love travel!
