BSP (Billing Settlement Plan) – Team Leader (Permanent) Gauteng- Sandton -Finance

Job Description

  • Review reconciliations to enable management to sign off payments due to BSP (multiple regions).
  • Serve as an authorised signatory when checking BSP-Controllers’ documentation prior to submission to the Head of Finance.
  • Provide regional information to the respective Heads of Finance in each region, such as expenditure or cash flow. 
  • Run system reports – daily, weekly and monthly and provide to the Head of Finance.
  • Deal with escalated variances e.g. non-payment outside contractual agreements, invoices from suppliers, airline queries, refunds/queries on airline tickets etc.
  • Ensure that the team’s financial information balances to the monthly management accounts.
  • Submit reconciliations to Head of Finance for approval.
  • Process journals to correct misallocations following authorisation from Head of Finance.
  • Monitor input and output of the accounting systems and ensure the integrity of the information on the system.
  • Oversee and ensure that BSP team members are able to achieve their outputs.
  • Provide training to develop staff skills level to the required standard.
  • Continuously provide feedback and coaching to ensure that the staff members perform at optimum productivity level.
  • Manage the team on a day to day basis in terms of leave, and other staffing issues.
  • Build client relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications and experience
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience leading a team within Finance or Accounting
  • Experience in Travel mandatory, with fares knowledge being essential and an IATA BSP Accreditation as an added advantage
  • Amadeus, quicktrav, BSP
