Job Description

KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

 

·          Receive travel requests from the travel booker

·          Obtain the 3 best possible options on rates from suppliers for car hire, hotel and airline for every travel booking

·          Compile a quotation on the travel package and forward this to the travel booker

·          Arrange bookings as per the approved quote from the travel booker

·          Provide booking confirmation to the travel booker once bookings have been made with suppliers

·          Confirm final travel bookings with the travel booker

·          Receive a package order or booking form from the travel booker indicating that they have accepted the confirmation of the bookings

·          Receive and resolve travel queries from travel bookers, e.g. provide assistance to travellers in the event that they are stranded, missed the flight, etc.

  • Apply for visa documentation and travel insurance on behalf of the traveler
  • Order foreign exchange as per the traveller’s requirements and ensure delivery to them
  • Issue the travel documents, i.e. car hire, hotel and airline vouchers to the travel booker via email
  • Read and research information in order to remain abreast with changes within the market
  • Understand the online booking system
  • Assist with changes needed to bookings that have been made online
  • Assist with making bookings online
  • Be able to guide and train travel bookers on how to book online
  • Assist with visas, health, country information and preferences for bookings made online
  • First level support for online challenges – troubleshoot if necessary.

Diploma in Travel & Tourism / equivalent NQF Level 5

6 -7 years’ relevant experience
