Job Description

The Club Travel Group invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Internship program. In line with the Company’s learning and development as well as talent acquisition and management initiatives, Club Travel offers comprehensive learning opportunities to unemployed graduates to acquire skills and experience in various learning areas.

Placement is for the Corporate In-House based in Midrand where the student will be exposed to consulting, ticketing and fares functions.

Required Qualifications

The Group therefore invites applications for an Internship program ranging from 6-month to 12 months. This program is aimed at enhancing the employability of the unemployed graduates who have graduated in various study fields. Successful candidates will be required to enter into a formal Internship Contract with the Club Travel Group. Successful candidates will be paid a monthly stipend for the duration of the program. 

Criteria of Selection

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised Travel and Tourism Course, with a GDS qualification (Galileo/Worldspan/Amadeus/Sabre);
  • Be well presented and well spoken;
  • Be enthusiastic and willing to learn;
  • Display a passion for travel and people;
  • Be able to commit to the duration of the course. 
  • Pass a background check

Qualifications

  • N6 Certificate in Travel and Tourism from a public TVET College
  • Amadeus or Galileo certificate
  • Familiar and literate in computer programs (MS Office)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Maintain composure under demanding work conditions
  • Adjusts quickly to new situations

Preference will be given to candidates who are from designated groups in terms of national labour legislation.  Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
