Banking Administrator (Permanent) Western Cape- Cape Town CBD -Finance

Job Description

The primary focus of this position is full responsibility for the cashbook function including: Bank reconciliations, following up and clearing reconciling items, daily cash management and foreign payments and accounts adhoc payments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Daily receipting
  •  Reconciling company expenses and submitting it for payment
  •  Reconciling supplier vendor accounts
  •  Ensuring that Managers expense claims are recorded into the general ledger within the month of claim.
  •  Liaising with HR and Marketing department daily for any adhoc payments.
  •  Capture payments submitted by the Banking administrator
  •  Papertrail duties: Scan captured documents and index
  •  Reconcile speedpoints
  •  Ensure payments are loaded on Standard Bank Business online
  •  Ensure new beneficiaries are loaded onto banking platform and verified
  •  Petty Cash
  •  General Administration and adhoc duties

Required Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  •  Minimum 1-year cashbook experience or accounting knowledge is essential
  •  Bookkeeping qualification / diploma would be an advantageous
  •  Computer Literate - MS Office
  •  Attention to detail
  •  Excellent excel skills
