Job Description

  • Apply sound RM strategies for all forecasting and yield opportunities.
  • Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modelling, distribution yield management, business mix yield management, length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts.
  • Update rates, monitor and optimize revenue generating online distribution and platforms strategy – linking back to property GMs and other key stakeholders. And share routine reports efficiently.
  • Together with the Sales & Marketing team evaluate performance of distribution partners, including GDS and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc.).
  • Together with the Sales & Marketing team create and develop pricing strategies that reflect the individuality of each property.
  • Tap into the marketing team, identifying and sharing revenue opportunities that require amplification.
  • Effectively utilize property management software and tools to monitor the performance of the properties and its 3rd Party Distributors.
  • Work with the property team and Sales to determine and execute effective LNR, Consortia and RFP rates. Ensures the hotel is ready for RFP season. Training hotel teams in gathering RFP information for execution.
  • Generates reports aligned to each channel, measuring the revenue and presenting opportunities needed and generates action plan from the meeting and shares within the group.
  • Analysis of marketplace reports such as expedia, booking.com, and other marketplace measurement tools and cascade information to GMs and key stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Transform theoretical knowledge gained from analysis into the business cycle, booking cycle and long term strategic planning into action.
  • Act as the Revenue champion within the group. Lead training and information sessions with all parties, at all levels, involved in the revenue management process.
  • Effectively incorporate the revenue management philosophy in all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Manage inventory and rate structure to optimize revenues and margins.
  • Establish and maintain rate quotation strategies within the reservations department. 
  • Consistently evaluate inventory selling process. 
  • Provide routine training to GMs, Front Desk employees on reservations selling, upselling and negotiating techniques.
  • Travel across multiple locations.
  • Other tasks as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Min 5 years experience
  • Reservation experience in a 4 to 5 star hotel
  • Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management/Financial Management/Economics.
