Job Description

We are seeking a travel expert. We would like to welcome on board a Customer Service Representative- Reservation Consultant to support our Family of Brands and begin a career with The Travel Corporation.
 
Reservations Consultants will receive inbound contacts and leads through various channels and are responsible for providing the best service experience for our customers, both internal and external. Our Reservations Consultants are goal driven and capture every sales opportunity with a strategic and attentive approach. Reservations Consultants control our most valued point of contact with our guests, and create the ultimate guest experience through consistent, professional care.

THIS ROLE INVOLVES:
  • Sales : You will answer incoming calls, emails and online chat and match our product with customer needs. You will maximize opportunities to up-sell and participate in call centre initiatives for increased sales.
  • Exploration : You will develop a quest for knowledge to understand the brands you represent.
  • Problem Resolution : You will identify, research, and resolve issues to customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration : You will partner with your manager and teammates to meet your individual goals and contribute to the overall sales goals for the brand.
  • Taking initiative :  You will be proactive in generating business by following up on incoming leads from our sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Nurturing :  You will build, develop and cultivate relationships with repeat clients, travel partners and colleagues.

Salary

Negotiable salary. Medical Aid & Provident Fund contributions ​​​​​​

Required Qualifications

  • Post graduate Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Sales or Travel; 
  • 2 or more years of Customer Service and/or Sales experience;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with call centre and/or travel industry experience;
  • Experience in Salesforce and Amadeus will be an added advantage;
  • Microsoft Office proficiency;
  • Must be able to retain and organize large volumes of changing information;
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
  • Availability to work overtime as required on an ad-hoc basis;
  • Availability to work Saturdays on a roster basis.
