Job Description
MSC Cruises has a vacancy opening for a Sales Executive, based in Johannesburg, focused on calling on the travel trade in the Pretoria and Centurion area.We are looking for someone who can increase the market share and revenue of MSC Cruises.
Ideally this candidate must have strong selling and presentation skills, excellent (cruise) product knowledge, outstanding time management skills , ability to manage all different requests at one time and multi task at all times, work above and beyond your scope of work. We are looking for an individual who is able to think out of the box.

Communication management - Internal Communication - Responsible for account ownership and co-ordination of all client communication:
- Establish and develop strong relationships with all internal personnel associated with portfolio of ccounts (operations, finance, Marketing, Yield Management etc)
- Develop and maintain communication processes with all internal departments
- Develop contact template /reporting
- Ensure travel requirements are communicated to all necessary divisions
- Organise, prepare and/or participate in customer events/training seminars where appropriate
- Plan and execute quarterly business review
- Plan annual strategic business review
- Develop and facilitate customer surveys where appropriate
- Ability to interrogate data, identifying trends and exceptions and impact on the business plan, that can be reported through to the relevant client
- Benchmark and monitor customer travel activities, recommending cost efficiencies where possible
- Develop and maintain a database of commercial, retail, travel and organisational contracts to maximise sales
- Undertake to predetermined levels, direct calls and sales calls (face to face) to potential and established clients in the area allocated to you. (Allocation of clients / areas will change from time to time as per Company’s requirements).
- Achieve the agreed sales target as set by the business.
- Devise and produce a working sales business plan, which adequately provides territorial management, adequate sales coverage and specialised commercial activities.
- Produce and submit required weekly, monthly reports.
- Attend travel functions e.g. fairs, trade shows, exhibitions and events in a participative or observer status. Attend all Sales Meetings, sales calls, and any other meetings which will provide input as requested by the business.
- Participate in educationals for commercial or travel trade contracts as required.
- Maintain weekly contact with Sales and Marketing team in order to develop working relationship and to have a constant awareness of trends within the business.
- Transmit all leads for business outside of your allocated area to the Sales & Marketing Manager to distribute accordingly.
- Ensure good product knowledge of all products both international and domestic in the group.
- Increase MICE for the company
- Flexibility to work in line with MSC Cruises operational requirements
- Present a professional and favourable image of MSC Cruises at all times.

Essential: Matric, Grade 12.Valid driver’s licence
