Job Description

Lead the development of strategies for sales planning. Responsible for all private fare and tactical distribution activities in South Africa and offline markets. Ensure fare filings are delivered on time and that the company is competitive in the marketplace. This role will work closely with the sales teams, HO Pricing, monitoring competitors’ actions, evaluate forward bookings and make recommendations to the various stakeholders based on feedback and analytical findings. Provide coaching and support to direct reports.

Developing Sales strategies, understanding of fare structures and impact created by various changes or adjustments, cross departmental communication. People management skills within the section. Apply the available tools and systems for maximizing efficiency.

Propose private fare structures based on market analysis and evaluation of competitors’ actions. Implementation to the current fare structure and internal communication to keep all departments in the loop of the recent changes.

R28 000 per month with provident fund, medical aid, 13th cheque, performance bonus.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree. Own transport essential.

Summarizing effectively complex issues . High level of IT competency. GDS Knowledge, (preferably Amadeus). Previous Airline/Travel Agent experience. Able to lead. Motivate, and coach a team to improve overall performance and staff development. Able to summarize insights from large and complex datasets. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. Meticulous and organized in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Has deep understanding of influencing factors for Airline Sales. Efficient and accurate in extracting data and information from systems used by the company. Is resourceful in helping Sales with a wide range of all activities, but excluding client-facing responsibilities.
