Product Manager (Permanent) Gauteng- Fourways -Retail

Job Description

The Product Manager will be responsible for the following:
  • Their own portfolio of product
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiation of contracts, tactical offers and allocations
  • Negotiation of override deals
  • Rate and contract analysis
  • Competitive analysis of contracted rates
  • Development of product and portfolio growth
  • Control and mitigation of errors
  • Reporting on sales and override performance
  • Working with the Marketing Coordinator on marketing opportunities
  • Working closely with suppliers to ensure that queries and issues are dealt with within the SLA parameters
The Product Manager will need to possess the following skills:
  • Excellent Time Management
  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and plan ahead
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
  • Ability to build meaningful and strong relationships

Salary

R 24 000 pm

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have the following:
  • Qualification in the Travel & Tourism sector (Degree or 3yr Diploma)
  • 5 years working experience as a Product Manager in the Travel & Tourism Industry
  • Negotiating experience
  • Wholesale experience
  • A Scotwork Negotiation qualification or similar
