Job Description

Responsible for providing travel services for clients, handling any deviation travel requests, focusing on client's requests and requirements. This is inclusive of air, hotels, packages, car hire and any travel related services. Also responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service to clients both internal and external and adhering to a no-complaint policy.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES REPORTS
  • Monthly feedback on amount of quotes versus conversion
  • Top destinations and products sold
  • General monthly feedback
  • Miscellaneous reporting when required BOOKINGS
  • Ensure that all relevant details / clients’ needs are obtained and provide suitable products and services
  • Process quotes within time frame set (within 24 hours)
  • Build relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
  • Liaise with overseas operators
  • Book car /hotel/flights using preferred suppliers wherever possible
  • Business and SOP Compliant
  • Follow up on quotes 24 hours after sending
  • Sign on to Dashboard daily to obtain updates
  • Ensure that you update your product knowledge on an ongoing basis so that you maintain good knowledge
  • Build relationships with agents and overseas suppliers
  • Ensure terms & conditions of travel is sent in writing before payment is accepted and highlight any special conditions to the client / agent
  • Collect payment from agents adhering to company policy and payment procedures
  • Ensuring all client documentation is complete for each reservation
  • Ensuring all receipting is done and client files cleared
  • Accountable for all errors – must work accurately at all times STAFF MANAGEMENT
  • To work independently, manage tasks and changing priorities
  • To maintain work volume and quality consistent with peers

  • Fare and ticketing basic course
  • GDS experience (preferably Amadeus) – full course

  • Excellent geographical knowledge

  • Knowledge of inter-airline policies and endorsement procedures
  • Understanding and ability to interpret, explain and follow fare rules
  • Full understanding of BSP
  • Fully conversant with preferred partners frequent flyer programmes
  • Full understanding of forex
  • Full understanding of insurance
  • Full understanding and use of fare finder/best fare on the day
  • Full understanding and use of the GDS
  • Full understanding and use of SAM
  • Ability to distinguish a misquote by an airline or colleague
  • Sales focused with experience of working in a target driven division
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to excel under pressure
