Job Description

Thompsons Travel is looking for an Assistant Financial Manager, who will assist the Financial Manager with all financial activity and reporting for Thompsons Retail as well as the formulation and implementation of company financial strategies, and the direction and co-ordination of the activities of the Finance Department. Suitable candidates will work in an exciting sale driven environment, which rewards achievers.

Required Qualifications

  • EE
  • Travel or Tourism Certificate
  • Finance / Bookkeeping Diploma
  • Four years financial travel industry experience
  • PC literate – MS Office Applications – Excel essential
  • Quicktrav and Amadeus experience preferable
  • Accounting principles
  • Product and geographical knowledge an advantage
  • High accuracy and concentration, focusing on detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to present reports
  • Outstanding customer service skills
