Senior Rates Administrator (Permanent) Cape Town/Johannesburg -Wholesale

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to update and maintain all supplier rates, information and policies, contacts, notes and specials as provided by the Product team.

  • Develop the company Framework for how products are loaded in Tourplan from rates, wording, coding, notes, specials, consultant information etc.
  • Manage the rate uploads and database for the company and Third party products
  • Maintain the systems put in place and keep the rate loading consistent & accurate
  • Load rates on an adhoc basis when required for new properties
  • Keep abreast of all the specials and load them into Tourplan as instructed by Product
  • Support the Product Manager by highlighting any important information received about any Third party products
  • Give guidance to the marketing team on how the rates translate into the system in order for us to become more efficient in the market and streamline our rates, offerings and specials
  • Ensure that the commission structures are loaded in the Creditor Module of each supplier
  • Partake in supplier trainings

Required Qualifications

  • Min 5 years’ experience in Rates Admininistration 
  • Proven travel sales ability, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to deal with agents in a professional and courteous manner 
  • Product knowledge and Tourplan experience would be an advantage but previous experience within the Travel industry is vital.
  • Attention to detail
