Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Travel Consultant with great enthusiasm and passion for traveling and as a Senior Travel Consultant, you will deliver first class customer service whilst utilising your solid Amadeus (or other GDS) skills to manage the travel arrangements of our clients from initiation to completion. This would involve designing complete travel itineraries coordinating air travel, hotel/car rentals and any other arrangements required by the clients.

Required Qualifications

  • The applicant must be a Namibian citizen or a permanent resident.
  • Diploma/relevant qualifications in Travel and Tourism.
  • Ticketing & Fares Certificates and any other travel related certificates.
  • Quicktrav knowledge will be of advantage.
  • Recent six plus years’ experience in the retail travel industry.
  • Strong operational and GDS / travel systems experience, fares knowledge, staff management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Problem-solving skills to manage challenges as soon as they occur.
  • Communication skills for successful information transfer and counselling our clients with their travel options.
  • Familiarity with international travel including knowledge of world geography and the basics of traveling to foreign countries.
  • Organization skills to successfully manage travel plans and schedules.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
