Job Description

  • Act as an office assistant to  the manager- send emails, following up on bookings, help out with tasks that are straightforward but very time consuming
  • Reply to Emails from customers, customer care and managing customer accounts (10% of job)- This includes creating invoices and statements, processing payments etc
  • Book Accommodation, Safaris and activities for Tours- Block booking in advance- emailing accommodation, back and forth, checking invoices, getting them ready for Payment, having attention to details (This is 50% of the job)
  • Manage Monthly statements from Suppliers (EG Bike services) Checking invoices to Monthly Statements
  • Petty cash processing for tour guides
  • Make Travel Vouchers and Guide Books
  • Running errands like going to Post office, collecting packages etc. (Petrol will be refunded)
  • Miscellaneous office tasks- Filing, binding books, printing, Photocopying
  • Apply for CARNETS and other Travel permits for the company, Sign STO rates

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3  years experience in the travel Industry
  • Experience Travelling in South Africa
  • Live in Pretoria
  • Must have good Time Management Skills- There are many tours that are all being booked at the same time, need to be on top of everything and make sure that tours are booked and confirmed in advance, while still taking care of other tasks like processing petty cash and replying to customer emails.
  • Attention to detail, good organization skills
  • Must take Initiative (Self Starter)

General Details

  • Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm
  • Saturdays for 2-3 Hours up to Once or Twice a month to see out Tours/rentals
  • Must have own reliable vehicle
