Job Description

As the interest and need for genuine conservation travel grows, we’re seeing more people than ever reaching out to us from all four corners of the globe. This is a vital, senior position that involves overseeing our relationships with key product partners (conservation projects). As well
as this, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the expansion and growth of our add-ons (hotels, lodges, activities, and excursions).

Based in Johannesburg, your main goal will be to build and maintain excellent working relationships with our product partners. Your ability to secure favourable terms, rates, and conditions within your network will directly impact our competitiveness, profitability, and the overall quality of the conservation-focussed travel experiences we provide.

Salary

Starting gross monthly salary: R40,000 - R50,000, depending on previous experience Membership of our profit share scheme in the second full financial year of employment

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the travel industry, including business / product development or a senior sales position
  • An understanding of how to create commercially viable, sustainable, experience-rich travel experiences, from accommodation, transportation, activities and meal components
  • Demonstrable experience of handling both supplier and customer relationships, developing and promoting product and services, ideally in the inbound travel industry
  • Product and / or geographical knowledge of southern Africa
  • Good commercial acumen, including cost negotiation
  • Proficient in PC and / or Mac
  • Valid passport, driving licence, and own transport
