Job Description

Thompsons Travel (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy for a self-motivated, vibrant, and energetic Senior Project Manager in our Thompsons Meetings and Incentives (TMI) Department in Johannesburg. The successful candidate must have previous experience of 5-10 years in organizing of events, conferences, corporate breakaways, incentives and launches.  To fulfil group requirements for clients professionally.

  • Handling all administration, execute own events and reconciling accounts.
  • Achieving client satisfaction and understanding their requirements
  • Maintain high levels of quality and productivity by managing workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to meet personal targets and be a great team player

General Details

  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, good geographical knowledge and interpersonal skills, as well as being able to cope under pressure.
  • The candidate must hold strong relationships with a Destination Management Companies (DMC’s) both locally and internationally.
  • The candidate must have the ability to research and suggest exciting destination properties as well as creative destination ideas.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours.
  • Ability to travel with clients both domestically, regionally, and internationally.
  • Valid Passport
  • MS Office literacy essential
  • Presentation skills essential
  • Own Transport is preferable.
