Job Description

Thompsons Travel (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy for a self-motivated, vibrant, and energetic Senior Corporate Ticketing Consultant in Johannesburg Office. The successful candidate must have minimum 4-10 years’ experience in corporate travel environment.

Required Qualifications

  • To provide a reliable and efficient service, processing tickets quickly and accurately and producing a high-quality service
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of travel procedures.
  • Issuing and re-issuing of all air tickets and EMD's within the GDS.
  • Creating bookings on Amadeus, Galileo and NDC Platforms
  • Creating and facilitating Group bookings through Amadeus and various airline platforms
  • Invoicing all bookings on Quicktrav
  • Ensure all necessary checks are completed before ticket is issued.
  • Ensure fare rules are read and clearly understood.
  • Ensure all tickets are sent to Quality Control to be checked.
  • Assisting with queries from ITCs and other Ticketing Customers

General Details

  • Proficiency in Amadeus and Galileo GDS Systems, and NDC platforms
  • Proficiency in Quicktrav (back office)
  • Online Booking Tool proficiency and experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office Applications - Outlook
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of ticketing, fares, and rules for both domestic and international travel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail critical
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure travel related situations
