Permanent (meetings in the office twice/three times weekly in the office)

Lesley Simpson Communications (LSC) is a reputable PR & Marketing company, that has operated for 30 years, handling a variety of international and local tourism brands.  We are located in Peter Place in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Our long-standing client is the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and so it is with great excitement that we post this job description for an Account Manager, dedicated to promoting and creating an increased awareness of Thailand in the South African marketplace.

Required Qualifications

A marketing diploma or a degree.

General Details

  • Must have visited Thailand at least once.   
  • An understanding of South Africa’s outbound tourism industry and a visit to this amazing destination is essential.
  • Work in conjunction with tour operators & manage destination promotional campaigns
  • A knowledge of digital & social media; (it is not a main focus however)
  • Being a PR company, ditto about SA’s media landscape
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing or brand building position
  • Good organizational skills & attention to detail (roadshows/exhibitions)
  • Strong in admin
  • Confident personality with good presentation skills (Power-point abilities)
  • Monthly statistic reporting to client
  • Able to travel either locally & internationally (passport required)
  • Johannesburg based; own transport
