Travel Agency based in Cape Town specializing in corporate travel management and leisure travel planning.

Job Description

Our client is looking for someone to join their finance team to assist and provide back up for the team. Position is remote but individual MUST reside in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor outstanding payments from clients.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and send payment reminders.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Verify and reconcile statements with suppliers.
  • Maintain good relationships with travel service providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators).
  • Prepare and issue invoices for bookings, flights, and tour packages.
  • Ensure invoices are accurate and comply with tax regulations.
  • Maintain records of transactions in accounting software.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and audits.

Salary

R15 000 – R18 00 depending on experience

Required Qualifications

Qualifications

Bookkeeping or financial qualification

Skills

  • Experience in accounts payable (creditors) and accounts receivable (debtors).
  • Proficiency in financial software (QuickTrav & BSP).
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of travel industry financial processes (e.g., airline billing, supplier payments).
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
