Job Description

  • Convert an online enquiry into a sale
  • To independently manage complex clients
  • Creating bespoke itineraries
  • Bookings including opening file, costings, quotations, travel documentation, invoicing, close file
  • Co-ordinate all travel documentation
  • Invoicing & credit control on outstanding payments
  • Ensure invoices are timeously sent to clients
  • Working with and Updating Operational system and produce weekly report
  • Working within Company operations and administration systems
  • Keep abreast of property updates /product knowledge and latest industry trends
  • Ensure and maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Being knowledgeable about Company products
  • Ensure profitability of bookings

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in tourism
  • Min 5+ experience as Travel Consultant with experience in a tailor-made travel environment dealing with direct, online customers
  • Demonstrable sales performance in a target-driven environment - Speed-to-market and results-driven are your buzz words.
  • Conversion of warm sales leads via email, telephone, WhatsApp and video calls
  • The ability to craft tailor-made experiences based on the clients’ needs and specific requirements
  • First-hand Destination knowledge in Southern Africa, East Africa, Indian Ocean islands. Essential countries being South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
  • Working experience of tour operating software (Tourplan, Travelogic etc.)
