Senior Leisure Consultant (Permanent) Johannesburg North or Cape Town -Retail

Job Description

Compile quotes and issue domestic, regional and/or international leisure travel bookings, whilst delivering out of the ordinary client service. Upsell clients on hotels, car hire and travel insurance as needed.  This role requires a deep knowledge of the travel industry and destinations across the globe as well as a passion for travel combined with a commitment to upholding a clear duty of care and a desire to create memorable experiences for clients.

Salary

R420 000 - R500 000 ctc per annum depending on experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years travel industry experience in a leisure travel environment.
  • Amadeus GDS Proficiency – at least 5 years’ experience and currently using Amadeus.
  • Ability to thoroughly qualify an enquiry and build rapport with clients
  • Ability to research and recommend products and destinations, accommodations and excursions that meets the clients specifications
  • Strong destination, product and industry knowledge
  • Ability to book and service NDC bookings through Amadeus NDCx and other providers eg Verteil / Thomalex and others
  • Aptitude for internal IT and CRM systems (training will be provided on internal systems)
  • Strong knowledge of International / multi-city fares
  • Proactive approach to travel (e.g., flight schedule changes / airline grounding, weather / meticulous daily queue management)
