Job Description

1. Purpose of the Function
• The reconciling and maintenance of month end accounts.

2. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
a) General
• Reconciling of 30 day creditors accounts
• Making sure reconciliation deadlines are met
• Submitting of reconciliations for authorisation and payment
• Maintaining a good relationship between Duma Travel and our suppliers
• Maintaining of the creditors age analysis, nothing should be over 30 days
• Passing of journals

b) Queries / Problem-solving
• Handling of suppliers queries efficiently and timeously
• Request and follow up on outstanding suppliers’ invoices
• Contact and follow up with suppliers regarding invoice and payment discrepancies
• Maintaining a list of internal queries to be escalated to the Orders and Vouchers managers on a weekly basis.
• Escalation of unresolved queries to Creditors Manager
• Report any urgent supplier issues to Creditors Manager timeously

Required Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
• Certificate / Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Creditors administrator
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with QuickTrav an advantage
• Previous experience in Travel would be considered an asset.
