Emergency After Hours Senior Consultant (Permanent) National -Retail

Job Description

National Retail Agency is offering a permanent position for an experienced Senior Travel Consultant to man our Emergency After Hours Service. All suitably qualified candidates with a minimum of 5-8 years corporate travel experience at a senior level are invited to apply for this vacancy.

You will be required to be on call between 17h00 and 08h00 Mon-Frid and 24 hours on weekends and public holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 with a Travel and Tourism Diploma or similar Travel qualification.
• Qualification and in depth working knowledge of the Amadeus GDS system.
• Minimum 5-8 years of corporate and leisure travel experience at a senior consultant level.
• Strong Fares and Ticketing Knowledge with ability to work with complicated routings and Crew bookings.
• Sound working knowledge of the Quicktrav mid office system.
• Sound knowledge of Visa requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.
• Excellent Service Levels are a prerequisite.
• Excellent problem solving abilities. Ability to “think on your feet” and propose last minute solutions to clients.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

General Details

• Secure and confirm after hours emergency reservations for all domestic, regional and international travel related services for clients.
• Secure last minute rerouting, quotes and changes to bookings
• Propose alternative options to clients where applicable
• Invoicing and issuing of vouchers
• Provide weekly feedback reports to manager/consultants
• Company Laptop and Cell Phone will be provided. Applicant can be based in CPT/JNB/DUR
