Job Description

neXt is an online booking management solution that enables anyone to become their very own travel agent, we are looking for a passionate Account Manager who will partner with and ensure the long-term success of our neXt agents. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with the neXt agents as well as connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.

The key deliverables in this role will be to:

The primary focus of the Account Manager will be to:
* Operate as the primary point of contact for all South African customers using the neXt product.
* Support all registered agencies on the neXt network as and when needed.
* Develop solid relationship with agents using the neXt product.
* Communicate all updates and changes of the product to agents using the neXt product.
* Assist in escalating high severity requests to the correct teams.
* Contact agents that are not using the network to find out why they are not booking and what support they need.
* Consolidating agency accounts to ensure on time payment of commission.
* Reporting on booking trends:
* Present to non-IATA agents to recruit them to use neXt.
* Source and contact SMME’s to recruit them to use neXt.
* Source and contact big distribution partners and corporate companies to source them to use neXt.

The secondary focus of this role will be to:
* Identify target groups that would be able to utilize neXt in their business.
* Organize round table,training and networking events throughout the South African Region
* Attend trade shows/conventions to promote the product.
* Develop an in-depth understanding of the product technology.

Required Qualifications

Listed below are the minimum requirements with regards to skills, competencies and abilities needed for this role:

* Minimum 3 years travel industry experience.
* Minimum 2 years GDS experience is required.
* Proven sales track record, ability to source leads and secure new business opportunities.
* Excellent marketing skills.
* Excellent customer experience.
* Excellent command of the English language.
* Exceptional networking and relationship building skills.
* Good presentation skills.
* Proficient at Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
