Job Description

Lead, manage, coach and guide the Emirates Holidays reservations units in South Africa towards delivering a Superior Customer Service in line with department policies, guidelines, objectives and standards so that enquiries are well managed with effective turnaround time frames in synergy with the sales efforts thereby effectively contributing to the weekly targets.

Required Qualifications

• Preferably, a degree/ diploma level education with a minimum of 5 years
experience proven track record in the leisure industry of which at least
3 years should be in a supervisory level.
• First-hand knowledge of tour operations and and airline reservations,
documentation and reporting procedures .
• Computer literacy together with a high level user knowledge on airline
reservation .
• Experience in selling tours is an added advantage.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent
interpersonal skills.
• Preference will be given to a candidate who has excellent destination
knowledge.

General Details

- Responsible for the effective utilization of manpower and technology
resources allocated to maintain high service levels to the Travel Trade
and other clients.
- Implement the specified action plan for servicing of enquiries,
bookings and reservations for new and existing agents and direct
customers in order to ensure that service turnaround times are
maintained while enhancing all possible opportunities for maximization
of revenue.
- To continuously review internal process and procedures, and provide
recommendations for process improvements and cost saving.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of procedures aimed at improving
productivity and performance of staff, within the unit.
- Develop and maintain healthy professional business relationships
with the travel trade to the benefit of the department.
- Ensure that corporate, departmental and unit level policies and
regulations are understood, implemented and monitored all the times,
by both the job holder and the staff assigned ,while maintaining
productivity and morale.
- Responsible for the training of all the staff in the unit ensuring that,
technical skills for all staff are in line with department standards.
- Responsible for the accurate quotation, booking and issuance of all
the documents by staff concerned, ensuring there is attention to
detail.
- Responsible for the timely reporting and accounting of all documents.
- Ensuring that all documentation for visas, where applicable, have
been submitted on a timely basis.
- Analyse and respond to customer complaints promptly to ensure
customer satisfaction.
- To assist the Sales Manager in setting objectives at the beginning of
the financial year for all subordinate staff and conduct interim and
annual reviews for all staff in the team.
