CA or B.Com (Honours) with articles

8 years relevant experience with minimum of 4 years solid management experience.

General Details

• Ensure that Finance Department plays a strategic role by proactively advising management team on financial issues affecting the business.
• Ensuring that the standards laid down for transaction processing are met, including the reconciliation and clearing of control and suspense accounts.
• Having in place accurate and robust systems and processes for the invoicing and collection of fees and the payment of creditors.
• Optimising cash and investment management.
• Employ IT solutions to remove as much routine processing and control tasks from Finance and the operational areas as is possible in a cost effective way
• Ensure that IT solutions support standardised interfaces to financial applications through the use of a common charts of accounts, common rules engines and common data structures.
• Have in place an infrastructure that ensures financial data and information is managed as a corporate asset
• Use IT solution to support and manage financial Data and processes.
• Provide a comprehensive performance management and reporting system to monitor all aspects of company performance.
• Ensure that Management Team understands and is sensitive to the financial implications of external events and the effects of management actions and decisions on the achievement of business plans.
• Maintain effective and cost efficient financial control processes. Ensure efficient processing of transactions at lowest acceptable level of risk and control throughout the business (End to end).
• Monitor transaction processing costs for finance and each branch.
• Have in place skilled finance staff capable of efficient transaction processing, analysing business performance, interpreting results and communicating effectively to management and others.
• Ensure adequate staff recruitment, coaching, performance management, training and development and alignment of staff to company strategy and objectives
• Ensure proper and effective teamwork with other departments
