Job Description

Do you have a sales and marketing background in Tourism? Have you been to trade shows like WTM or ITB?

This is for someone who has had to put their full-day career on hold but would like to remain engaged in Tourism.

We are looking for a Sales Prospector to join our sales team working on Tourism Update Daily News. The person’s primary responsibilities will be to research sales leads for specific features to pass on to the sales team. In addition, some sales support will be required occasionally. Required Qualifications

Requirements
  • Five years’ experience in marketing or selling tourism products
  • Having attended international tourism shows advantageous
  • Excellent research skills
  • Resourceful
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate and access to internet at home if you want to work from there

General Details

Responsibilities
  • Helping sales team with prospecting (identifying prospects). This will include setting up prospect lists for each    weekly feature using your industry knowledge and resourcefulness
  • Communicating with prospects at high level
  • Attending occasional client and industry functions, trade shows and exhibitions and support sales team’s involvement in same
  • Providing assistance in terms of logistics at events, seminars and trade shows
  • Completing sales-related and marketing administrative projects
  • Developing media packs/product catalogue/rate sheets/features lists etc.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Now Media
  • Providing personal and administrative support to Divisional Head and Senior Sales Executive periodically
  • Supporting Advertising Coordinator when needed
