Job Description

  • Organise events from A-Z such as sourcing venue, liaise with venue with regards to all details, ensure venue meets Trafalgar professional standards, finalise and ensure everything runs smoothly and to Trafalgar expectation;
  • Handling RSVP’s for all functions for Trafalgar;
  • Ad-hoc assistance for all marketing events such as set up, breakdown and general aesthetics;
  • Check and update all consortium partner websites once per month, where necessary, to ensure Trafalgar information is correct and relevant on the websites;
  • Product templates and all products sourced and sent to consortiums that is 100% accurate. With air where possible;
  • Accurate management of trade incentives and competitions in conjunction with CRM;
  • Awards and incentives run are awarded correctly and timeously;
  • Brief sheets sent to Area Sales Managers for all functions, travel talks, expo and any other Trafalgar marketing initiatives;
  • Assist the Area Sales Managers with events for presentations and expos;
  • Continually communicate with Area Sales Managers to ensure Trafalgar standard is being upheld with regards to Travel Talks, table displays, window displays and ensuring the brand is never compromised in this regard;
  • Source, purchase and distribute corporate gifts & hampers;
  • Packaging of gifts, hampers and hand-outs for consumers & trade;
  • Courier all material to arrive timeously;
  • Action brochure requests for Trafalgar for all agents and consumers and follow up with email;
  • Add product sourced to consortium spreadsheet;
  • Capture all data within 7 days of receiving and sending to global with an expectation of 10% increase YOY;
  • Monthly reports on subscriber numbers sent to Marketing Manager;
  • Manage stock control – brochures and documents;
  • Partly responsible for weekly in-house staff training – catering and brand exposure in accordance with relevant theme and responsible for sourcing themed collateral;
  • All filing;
  • Attend in house staff training;
  • Attend weekly Trafalgar meetings;
  • Actively contribute to the creation of an integrated and focused marketing team;
  • Adhere to company ethics standards
  • Social Media responsibilities
  • Assiting with briefing on electronic emails

Salary

Negotiable salary 50% contribution to Discovery Medical Aid 7.4% contribution towards the organization’s Provident Fund

Required Qualifications

  • Unless the applicant can demonstrate that he/she has gained the necessary competencies through experience, a Certificate / Degree / Diploma in Marketing is required
  • 2-5 years’ experience in marketing and or event co-ordination
  • Previous experience in the Travel Industry will be an advantage;
  • The successful applicant must have exceptional event co-ordination skills and must be able to pay attention to detail.
