Airline Sales Manager (Contract) Gauteng- Bryanston West -Airline

Job Description

  • Delivery of all agreed revenue budgets and creation of revenue forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure that the airline develops and maintains an excellent reputation with its day-to-day relationship with the travel trade for support and relationship management.
  • Become an expert in our product and services so you can gain a deep understanding of its value proposition and provide excellent sales support to the travel trade and sales team.
  • Manage relevant company and associated websites for South Africa and Direct Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Online Marketing, Event Marketing and internal creative services.
  • Develop and deliver PR activities that result in write-ups, reviews, awards, and analyst relationships.
  • Analyze all data points to develop benchmark KPI’s, measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of business plans, marketing plans and sales strategies, including revenue forecasting and tracking, goal setting and sales training. Implement improvements as required.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures; ensure that staff morale is positive to meet the organization’s commitments.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years management experience in a sales & marketing role in the international Aviation field or travel industry.
  • Proven recent sales management and client relationship management track record in the travel sector.
  • An excellent understanding of the market’s distribution channels and a good personal network.
  • Masters degree or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or in a related area of study.
  • Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), and an aptitude for learning new software packages. Use of a relevant CRM tool such as Salesforce an advantage.
  • Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, internal and external customers.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work within a small team and remotely with an overseas Head Office
  • Ability to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision within a small team
