Job Description

The position as General Sales Agent Business Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and analysis support to the South African and South Asia sales teams on data and revenue intake for all GSA's within the South Africa and South Asia regions. 
 
You will be responsible for:
  • Creation, analysis and distribution of monthly revenue performance reports to Qantas appointed General Sales Agents (GSAs) in the Region - specifically Africa (North, Central & South) and India & South Asia
  • Investigation and resolution of data issues within Qantas revenue reporting systems
  • Ensure that all processes meet audit and legislative requirements and in accordance with the GSA Agreements
  • Request credit checks on new Bank Settlement Plan (BSP) requiring ticketing authority in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Monitor and report irregular BSP agents activities to key stakeholder to mitigate exposure of financial loss to Qantas.
  • Monitor and manage the upkeep of agents profiling in Qantas revenue reporting systems to ensure efficient and accurate data reporting
  • Monitor and track agent’s commission payments ensuring the correct rebate rates are applied in accordance with the Agreement with the individual agents
  • Reconcile agent’s performance to targets at year end and compare against any commission payments made throughout the year
  • Action any over or under payments to agents accordingly. 
Provide administrative support including receipting, assisting with KPMG Audit requirements, facilitation of debit and credit payments, processing invoice payments

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will display:
  • A working knowledge of Airline Fares and ticketing
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Possess prior exposure to BSP functionalities
  • Working knowledge of South African Revenue Services (SARS) and associated requirements
  • Proven numeracy and organisational skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office products
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in accordance with business requirements
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with internal staff and the specified regional  travel trades
  • Possess superior verbal and written communication skills
