Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To render an interesting, creative and informed service to clients for their local and international leisure travel needs.


• To compile a monthly brochure with interesting and affordable leisure options in conjunction with marketing and supportive suppliers.

• Receive leisure travel requests

• Obtain the best possible rates from suppliers for car hire, hotel, airline and Tour Operators.

• Compile a professional quotation on the travel package and forward this to the client. Follow up to ascertain if all needs were addressed.

• Arrange bookings as per the approved quote from the client.

• Confirm final travel bookings with the client

• Receive a package order or booking form from the client indicating that the client has accepted the confirmation of the bookings.

• Apply for visa documentation and travel insurance on behalf of the client.

• Order foreign exchange as per the clients’ requirements.

• Issue the travel documents, i.e. car hire, train, hotel and airline vouchers to the client via email.

• Do a professional and comprehensive hand over to client. Include all relevant health, destination and sightseeing information.

• Receive and resolve travel queries from clients, e.g. provide assistance to the client in the event that they are stranded, missed flights etc.

• Read and research information in order to remain abreast with changes within the market

• Assist with researching destination information for international travel.

Required Qualifications

• Certificate in Travel and Tourism / equivalent NQF Level 5

• Galileo Certificate and currently working in Galileo

• Minimum 5 years relevant leisure experience
