We are looking for a
Fares Agent.
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Role and Responsibilities:
- First point of contact with clients;
- Written and telephonic consultation with clients;
- Amending, suspending or cancelling flight bookings;
- Constantly maintaining a high quality and error free handling of tasks;
- Servicing clients via phone and email within a designated time frame;
- Monitoring bookings that have been placed on the amendments queue;
- Offering clients options to reservations (e.g. finding alternative flights/dates etc);
- Working with and applying airline rules on both international and domestic carriers;
- Updating bookings with changes after confirming with client and sending out updated information;
- Processing payment;
- Close cooperation with suppliers in order to find best solution for clients;
- Maintaining good and improving existing or initiating new relationships with suppliers;
- Providing excellent customer service adhering to quality and quantity standards as specified by Travelstart.
Technical skill requirements:
- Efficient working knowledge of Amadeus (or other GDS);
- Minimum two years travel industry experience (minimum one year in fares);
- Thorough understanding of airline rules and regulations;
- Good writing skills; and
- Good telephonic manner.
