Job Description

TMC company seeks a Commercial Manager to improve the competitive position of CO. Travel in Sub- Saharan Africa.
Ensure the commercial success of CO. Travel Africa partners by the co-ordination of CO. Travel’s Sub –Saharan Africa joint strategies.

Qualification:
Education and Experience:

Diploma/Degree in Business management and/or Strategic Account Management Experience.
•Problem Solving Skills
•Good communication skills
•Above average analytical skills
•Good presentation skills
•Ability to interact at high levels within clients businesses.
•Computer literacy : MS Office products
with above average Excel skill
•Numeracy and a flair for numbers
•Experience with Travel within Africa
•Knowledge of the Travel Management Business

•Must be able to travel extensively within Africa and sometimes at short notice
•Must have a valid Passport
•Must be available on a 24/7 basis
•Knowledge of existing CO. Travel partners in Africa will be an advantage.
•Knowledge of travel agents and TMC operating within Africa will also be an advantage.
•Ability to speak French and/or Portuguese will also be added advantage.

General Details

Assist CO. EMEA in the sourcing of new partners in Africa in line with the Partner growth objectives agreed to by African Partners and CO. EMEA.

Assist new partners with Transition to CO. Induct new partners.

Responsible for regional marketing and promotion of the CO. Brand in Africa.

Responsible for marketing and promotions of CO. Travel in South Africa

Collect and maintain updated data base of in country capabilities and cross country servicing capabilities as well as all service related implications.

Agree partner capacity development plans with in country managers/owners where service, training, product or other gaps affecting clients servicing have been identified.

Assist partners with branding and corporate identity compliance.


Be the African specialist and resource to the African Partner Network and CO. EMEA.


Ensure growth of Africa region by ensuring that existing clients with multi country presence in Africa are serviced by CO. travel.

Assist Partners and CO. Travel EMEA with local market knowledge required for Regional New Business bids.

Ensure African partners complies with CO. Global strategies, standards in Data Management, Quality control, Pricing and that all CO. programs are implemented to ensure seamless client service.

Be a key liaison person with regional account managers, and main information resource on Africa.

Deliver CO. Travel designed Sales/Account management training as directed by Multi National Sales and Global Client Team

Negotiate and communicate Africa wide or multi country supplier deals.

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in Africa.
