Job Description
- Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the Travel by Investec department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
- Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
- Analyse and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
- Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
- Lead and motivate team to close sales
- Suggest and assist in setting up a sales strategy
- Set up a sales plan in order to achieve monthly and annual sales target required by the organisation. Detailing sales action plan to ensure that the target will be achieved on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Market update report on new services, competitors, business opportunities, etc.
- Implement and manage a CRM system
- Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
- Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
- Responsible for staff scheduling to include: employee training, annual leave, employee breaks, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
- Schedule and conduct department meetings.
- Complete human resource paperwork timeously.
- Work closely with other job functions in the company to improve overall services Level
- Immediate reporting of important issues (service, operational, HR) to direct senior level, propose solutions where possible
- Liaise with product, marketing and client experience teams to provide feedback into the product design and client engagement process etc.
- Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
- Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives
- Recognise and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance
- Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary
- Familiarise the team with the customer needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance
- Assure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and various standards
- Provide necessary business information to team
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- 3-5 years management experience.
- Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Knowledge of office processes, procedures and technology.
- Experience in supervising project and team activities.
- Ability to read interpret accounting and financial report.
- Required to work with a flexible schedule.
